Dr. Rolf Moeckel
Rudolf Mößbauer Assistant Professor
Rolf Moeckel studied Spatial Planning (=urban and regional planning) at the University of Dortmund in Germany. During his studies, he spent a year at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, USA, funded by a Fulbright Scholarship. From 2002 to 2006, he worked as a research associate at the Institute of Spatial Planning at the University of Dortmund, where he completed his doctorate in 2006. Next, he worked as a Principal Professional Associate with the consulting firm Parsons Brinckerhoff in the USA. From 2013 to 2015, he conducted research as a PostDoc at the National Center for Smart Growth at the University of Maryland, USA. Since 2015, he is a Rudolf Mößbauer Professor at the Technical University of Munich. Rolf co-chairs the Transportation Research Board Committee on Travel Forecasting Resources (ADB 45).
